Hardin College ministry is devoted to exalting the gospel of Jesus Christ on the college campus. College is a time where many students have left their families and friends behind to pursue their future career. Hardin College is here to be your home away from home. We are a family of believers desiring to grow college students who are deeply rooted in the gospel, community, and discipleship.
Our Ministry Vision: Effective evangelism that leads students into becoming fruit bearing members of the local church. GOSPEL through Effective Evangelism.
We believe the gospel is the power of salvation (Romans 1:16). We believe Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Hardin College desires all to have a personal relationship with Christ and to point individuals to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. As a ministry, we partner with Baptist Campus Ministry and Campus Outreach to further our desire to connect students on campus and share the gospel of Jesus.
SERVE by being a Fruit Bearing Member
You are valuable to Hardin and we need your unique gifts and talents to multiply the kin
gdom of Christ. We offer different ways for you to serve, connect, and make disciples within our church body. There are many different ways you can actively serve and use your individual passions to become a fruit bearing member of the local church.
We believe that if you begin to serve within the church while in college, this pattern will carry over into your life after graduation. Our greatest desire is that we are helping you find your place within the kingdom and heightening your passions; whether it’s kids, cooking, youth, media, or mission opportunities. We offer spring break mission trips to Arizona and summer mission opportunities in Brazil. No matter what your gifts or passions, there is a place for you here.
BE SERVED by the Local Church
Our greatest desire is for students to get connected with the local body of Christ. We offer two different opportunities for you to BE SERVED on Sunday mornings and to learn more about God through diving into the Word. Ron Thompson and Brady Siress teach a class beginning at 9:15am at the 641 location, their wives, Dawn Thompson and Tara Siress, accompany them.
Following the 9:15am service, Chris Lawrence has Sunday School at our downtown location which begins at 11am. We also offer opportunities for students to see the lives of Godly families within our church body and how they are making disciples within their families and workplace. We offer this through Family Groups which meet once a month. You are placed in a Family Group and invited into their home for a meal and a time of fellowship.
We desire to walk beside you through your college years; to better equip and prepare you to be a disciple maker, not only in college but also in the future.
