Opportunities To Serve at HBC

KIDS MINISTRY

Welcome Wagon Team

• Purpose:
  • To create a warm, helpful, and organized environment for families as they arrive. Welcome all families and kids as they enter the foyer of FFF
• Responsibilities:
  • Greet families and children with a smile and a friendly attitude
  • Assist new families in creating accounts and checking in
  • Help families check in smoothly
  • Walk new families to their children’s classrooms and answer questions
  • Help guide traffic flow in the foyer and hallways between services
  • Be a calm and welcoming presence
• Time Commitment:
  • Serve before and during services as needed (approx. 1–1.5 hours per shift)

Sunday School Teacher 

• Purpose:
  • To lead and disciple children in a fun, engaging, and biblically sound environment, helping them grow in their understanding of God and His Word.
• Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare and teach Bible-based lessons to assigned age group (materials provided), Lead class activities such as games, crafts, and memory verses, Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow volunteers
• Qualifications: 
  • A growing relationship with Jesus Christ, Love for children and a heart for ministry, Dependable, flexible, and teachable, and do a background check (required for all volunteers)
• Time Commitment:
  • Weekly or a rotation,  Approx. 1.5 hours per Sunday

YOUTH MINISTRY

• Parent Safety Team 
  • Serve Description: Create an overall safe, fun, and welcoming environment for every student on Wednesday Nights at Impact by helping check in, making sure students are in the right place at the right time, be in and around the sanctuary to ensure students are all accounted for, and aiding in check-out.
  • Time: Wednesday Nights 5:30 – 7:30
• Sunday School Discussion Leaders
  • Serve Description: Be present during the Middle School or High School Sunday School class to get to know students, lead them in discussion groups that happen during the teaching, and point them to Jesus.
  • Time: Sunday Mornings during the 9:15 service

SUNDAY HOSPITALITY TEAM

• Donuts:
  • Pick up donuts from Sammons in Murray (Pockets gas station beside movie theater) at 7 am every other Sunday and bring them to church! 
• Coffee:
  • Help make sure coffee/ donut areas are stocked and clean

WORSHIP

• Drummers
• Guitarists 
• Bassists
• Keys/piano
• Singers

WELCOME TEAM

• Door Greeters
  • Serve Description: Main doors, foyer, and Kids farm. These people will be warm and inviting, aware and helpful – while representing Christ and Hardin Baptist culture – well! 
• Parking Lot Greeters
  • Serve Description: These people will be the first point of contact, welcoming everyone as they arrive, assisting traffic flow, and helping people feel welcomed before they even step inside.
• Ushers
  • Serve Description: Volunteers will greet and assist, help maintain order, support the service, and model hospitality in the main worship service. The primary responsibility will be helping people find a seat! 
• Golf Cart Drivers
  • Serve Description: To provide safe, friendly, and convenient transportation from the parking areas to the church entrances, creating a welcoming first impression.

Tech. Team

• Audio
  • Need 2 people to help with Front of House and/or Livestream sound on a monthly basis. Requires attending all three services one Sunday per month.
• Camera Operator
  • Need 2-3 people to help with camera operation during the Livestream service. Training will be provided.
• ProPresenter Operator
  • Need 2-3 people to help with running ProPresenter on a rotational basis.

Social Team

• Photography:
  • Need someone to service and take pictures on Sunday mornings (normal Sunday morning, baptisms, etc.) and at church events. 
• Video:
  • Someone to help collect videos to make reels and other video content for HBC. 

Van Drivers

• Need people to help transport kids and people from the Hardin Community to Church on Wednesday Nights and Sunday Mornings.

Touch of Love

• Our “Touch of Love” compassion ministry has a passion to serve the widows, widowers, and shut-ins of Hardin Baptist by extending love, encouragement, and fellowship in various ways. We strive to help those of all ages maintain the joy of life by being a consistent source of Christian love. Those of our congregation who battle ongoing health issues are also encouraged and cared for by our awesome Touch of Love ministry team. Touch of Love has occasional meetings and activities.

Lawncare/ Construction

• At times, we have church members who are older, shut-ins, or not physically able to do lawncare and general maintenance around their homes. We would like to create a group of people who are willing to serve those church members who have these specific needs.
